The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT)  organized the 4th Meeting of the APT Preparatory Group for WTDC-17 (APT WTDC17-4) from 7 to 10 August 2017 in Malaysia. The event was hosted by the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM) and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Malaysia.

APT WTDC17-4 continued the discussion on the issues of interest to the region for the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-17) and developed Preliminary APT Common Proposals for WTDC-17. APT WTDC17-4 conducted the following activities:

• To consider the input contributions from APT Member Administrations;
• To review outcomes of the WSIS Forum;
• To review outcomes of the views of other regional organizations;
• To develop Preliminary APT Common Proposals (PACPs) for WTDC17;
• To develop arrangements for APT Coordination Meetings during WTDC-17.
